“You can’t add days to your life, but you can add life to your days.”

I believe families like ours can travel —sensory needs, picky eaters, iPads in hand, and all at our own pace.
Hi, I’m Kim
Thanks for being here!
My love for travel started in the back of my grandpa’s 1970s pea soup green Ford truck, Airstream in tow, on summer road trips to Disneyland and Yosemite. Those trips gave me a sense of wonder, curiosity, and freedom—they’re core memories I’ll carry forever.
Today, I’m a mom to two teens—my son has autism, and I have a neurotypical daughter. I share family travel tips rooted in real-life experiences and what’s actually worked for us. Our trips aren’t perfect—they’re full of slow mornings, flexible plans, snack breaks, negotiating where everyone’s willing to eat, and yes… plenty of iPad downtime for regulation. But they work for us, at our own pace.
Over the years, I’ve traveled a lot—both with and without my kids. We go to Disneyland, visit local Bay Area spots, and, most recently, traveled to Japan. I want my kids to see the world, gain confidence through travel, and experience the joy and excitement that comes from exploring new places. I also want to help other families like mine feel empowered and inspired to do the same.
I’m also a big believer in solo parent trips. Taking time to recharge and reconnect with yourself matters—it’s a form of self-care—and you’re more than just “mom.” That’s why, along with family travel resources, I share advice and encouragement for solo adventures—whether it’s around the world or just down the road.
In addition to sharing travel tips, I create user-generated content for lifestyle and travel brands that make trips (and everyday life) easier.
So, whether you’re planning a family vacation, considering your first solo getaway, or just looking for a little encouragement from someone who truly gets it—I’m so glad you’re here.

Sensory Savvy Momma Podcast Interview
I joined Victoria on the Sensory Savvy Momma Podcast to talk all about traveling as a neurodivergent family—and how to do it with more intention, less pressure, and way more joy. We chatted about building trips around safety and comfort, setting realistic expectations, and letting go of perfection. If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed planning a vacation, this one’s for you.
Give it a listen and share it with a fellow autism mom who could use the encouragement.
