“You can’t add days to your life, but you can add life to your days.”

I believe families like ours can travel —sensory needs, picky eaters, iPads in hand, and all at our own pace.

Hi, I’m Kim

Thanks for being here!

My love for travel started in the back of my grandpa’s 1970s pea soup green Ford truck, Airstream in tow, on summer road trips to Disneyland and Yosemite. Those early adventures gave me freedom, curiosity, and a sense of wonder—and I never let go of that.

Today, I’m a mom to two teens. My son has autism, and my daughter is neurotypical. I bring both personal experience and real-world strategies to the tips and advice I share. Our family trips don’t always look picture-perfect. They come with flexible plans, plenty of snacks, figuring out where everyone’s willing to eat, and yes—lots of breaks for iPad regulating time. But they work for us, at our own pace.

I’ve traveled a lot—both with and without my kids. We go to Disneyland, explore the Bay Area, and this spring, we went to Japan. I want my kids to feel the joy, freedom, and confidence that comes from seeing the world—and I want to help other families like mine experience that too.

And yes, I believe solo parent trips matter. It’s important to take time to recharge, reconnect with yourself, and remember that you’re more than just “mom.” In addition to family travel tips, I share advice and encouragement for solo adventures, too. Whether it's across the globe or just down the road, I’m here to help you take that trip.

Whether you’re planning a family vacation, considering your first solo getaway, or just looking for encouragement from someone who truly gets it—I’m so glad you’re here.

Sensory Savvy Momma Podcast Interview

I joined Victoria on the Sensory Savvy Momma Podcast to talk all about traveling as a neurodivergent family—and how to do it with more intention, less pressure, and way more joy. We chatted about building trips around safety and comfort, setting realistic expectations, and letting go of perfection. If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed planning a vacation, this one’s for you.

Give it a listen and share it with a fellow autism mom who could use the encouragement.
